A parent emails you with a concern about a current events assignment that led to a race-based conversation in her son’s class. The parent explains that her son, the only person of color in the class, felt minimized by the teacher’s comments. How do you respond to the parent? The student? The teacher?

Join us as we

• unpack a variety of equity-focused scenarios like the example above,

• model courageous conversations,

• delve into relevant reading, and

• provide strategies to support you in leading for equity.

You’ll acquire tools and templates you can use immediately as well as deepen your understanding of your own cultural competence.
