Member Contribution: Input regarding Principal Progressions
If you're a 2019-20 Administrator of the Year nominee, reaching a milestone year of service (25, 30, 35 or 40 years in administration) or retiring at the end of this school year, SAI wants to honor you at the meeting. Please denote the honor on the registration form so you can be recognized.
A stakeholder group representing SAI members from across the state continues to meet to develop tools and resources to support the anticipated implementation of the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders as Iowa's new standards for school leaders (State Board adoption expected July 2020).
During a segment of this spring's district meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to provide input regarding the principal progressions aligned to these standards, which have been designed as an optional tool to facilitate implementation.
Examine leadership practice in light of PSEL Standard 3 and deepen understanding of equity with a focus on microaggressions and leadership response.
You can bundle four district meetings for a renewal credit. One fall meeting and one spring meeting each year are eligible for this bundle, and you do not need to attend four consecutive meetings. All meetings must be within your five-year renewal window. Learn more about renewal credit opportunities.
