Are you leading from the lens of strengths? Are you spending more time focusing on what you’ve got rather than what you’re not? The concept of strengths-based development means much more than simply taking an assessment. It’s an entire philosophy for how you lead, manage, teach, learn, and grow.
In successful strengths-based organizations, individuals understand their talents and leaders build on team strengths while managing around weaknesses.
During the workshop, participants will:
• Understand strengths-based development and why focusing on areas of talent leads to improved productivity and performance outcomes.
• Understand your strengths profile and how to apply the results toward desired performance goals.
• Explore the developmental potential of each talent theme and what each theme brings and needs.
• Learn how to leverage your strengths in working relationships with staff, students, and parents and move from awareness of talents to appreciation and application of strengths.
Participants will complete Gallup’s CliftonStrengths (aka StrengthsFinder) assessment prior to attending the session (by Sept. 5). The workshop will include presentation, video, small- and large-group discussion, and be highly interactive in nature.
Facilitator: Traci McCausland, SHRM-SCP, Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach
